What’s your intention of blogging? To make money or just as an online diary?
If you choose the former, my advice is:
- Get a self-hosted WordPress (a.k.a. WordPress[dot]org), instead of a free Blogger or WordPress.com blog
- .Invest in your blog to see great returns.
- It’s easier to have a niche or two, rather than write about anything. Once you’ve grown, you can always expand to more niches. Try to keep them related though.
- You have to promote your blog posts; otherwise, no one will know you.
- Learn SEO from experts like Neil Patel, Brian from Backlinko, amongst others.
- Blog consistently. For instance, if you choose to post twice a week, stick to it.
- Blogging is a long-term effort.
